A nutrition plan begins with a complete patient assessment followed by education of patient, staff, and family. RD Consultants are trained to examine the facts of each patient case using the medical record. We communicate with other staff as appropriate, work directly with the patient to determine their needs, and develop a realistic plan. Follow up is generally included in the goals for a good outcome. All care is documented in the medical record.
Inservice training is available at all levels of clinical and management staff. Updating skills and raising awareness levels only helps to bring your personnel in line with today’s stringent regulations. All presentations are tailor made to suit the audience.
In most clinical settings, regulators expect menus to be rotated to provide adequate nutrition, at least every 6 months to a year. At Nutrition Advantage, we have expertise in menu development. Let us know your specific patient requirements and leave the rest to us. We specialize in Therapeutic Diets, Texture modifications, and we do our best to work with your ‘special needs’ clientele.
We value education! We are constantly looking for opportunities to effectively communicate with colleagues and others. We do that through our writing and presentations. For examples of our professional writing and presentations, see Resources.
Nutrition Advantage offers ACTION, not just WORDS.
