So you want to join the team??

Consulting is not for everyone and certainly not for the faint of heart.  It requires some risk on your part, but if you like the list of benefits mentioned on the Consultants Page, it will be well worth the effort.

First you need to establish yourself as an Independent Consultant.  You become your own company in a sense.  Pick up a copy of our booklet - see the Resource page for more information. At Nutrition Advantage we also offer Coaching and Mentoring to help you on your way.  Once you have established your business ‘name’, you will need to submit your application and a variety of personal paperwork.  See Application Requirements.

How does it benefit me to work for Nutrition Advantage?

There is no reason why you shouldn’t try to obtain your own accounts, but working in collaboration with Nutrition Advantage brings the business to you.  We will contact you on a regular basis with opportunities that match your preferences.  This can save you countless hours connecting and following up with leads.  We negotiate a fair contract and pass the highest possible rate on to you.  Remember, Nutrition Advantage is owned by an RD that has worked in many of these accounts.  We are always looking for the win-win.  We intentionally keep our overhead low.  We could just fatten our accounts by overcharging our clients and creating a wide margin, but we prefer to keep our clients happy with competitive rates, and keep all of us in business.

How do I get paid?

Contracting directly with companies can be the biggest burden on a Consultant.  It is often an underestimated reality.  As a Consultant for Nutrition Advantage you don’t ever have to worry if you’ll get paid for the work you provided.  The financial risk is not yours - it is ours.  At the end of each month you submit an invoice to Nutrition Advantage and you can expect to be paid within 30 days.  You can take that to the bank!
